Ridgid table saw riving knife. The riving knife lever was to tight to adjust up and down. This helps eliminate kickback far better than the splitter does. Sorry not to address your question but i have a rigid table saw just bot. I had to use a hammer at times to loosen or get it to close.
A saw with a true riving knife as i understand it has basic design differences that make it almost impossible to add a riving knife. Sort of like adding wings to an ordinary car to make an airplane out of it. It is impractical to adapt to a riving knife to a saw that was manufactured without one. I used a 14 ratchet with a 12 inch socket to loosen the bolt spring.
